Hello!

 

I'm Heloise, long time baker, lover of all things coffee and self-declared local ambassador.
I live in Canada's national capital region, Ottawa / Gatineau with my British hubby and little dog.

I've been baking for as long as I can remember. I became more serious about baking while at university as a way for me to relax and explore my creative side. Also, as a scientist, the precision and science behind baking seemed to come naturally to me.

During the 2020 pandemic, I got back into baking more seriously. Urged on by friends and family who wanted to see more content, I started Breton's Good Bakes as an outlet for my baking passion.

When I'm not baking or enjoying baked goods I am a product manager for a biotechnology company. My formal training is as a microbiologist and I work in the "microbiome" space, so I apologize ahead of time for any content which might dip into that universe.
